At Etowah Valley Sporting Clays, we offer all three disciplines, making us the perfect place to experience each style firsthand. Let’s break them down!

Skeet shooting formationSkeet Shooting: Fast-Paced & Circular Action

Best for: Improving reaction time and consistency

Skeet shooting involves two clay target machines (or “houses”) positioned at opposite ends of a semi-circular field. Targets cross in front of shooters at varying angles, requiring quick reflexes and precision. Shooters move through several challenging and exciting stations, getting different target presentations at each. Skeet is ideal for those looking to sharpen their accuracy and timing.

Trap Shooting: Straight & Long-Distance Focus

Best for: Beginners and those honing long-range accuracy

Shooters rotate through five stations, with each shot coming from a different position. This sport mimics bird hunting and is great for those looking to improve their ability to track moving targets over long distances.

Sporting Clays: The Ultimate Challenge

Best for: Hunters, advanced shooters, and those looking for variety
