Before the Backpacks, Homework & Busy Schedules… Make One More Summer Memory
Summer always seems to fly by. One minute you’re planning vacations, sleeping in, and enjoying long afternoons together.
The next? You’re shopping for school supplies, labeling notebooks, filling out forms, and wondering where the summer went.
Before life shifts back into carpools, homework, sports practices, and packed calendars, there’s one thing many families wish they had done:
Spent a little more quality time together.
At Etowah Valley Sporting Clays in Dawsonville, Georgia, late summer is one of our favorite times of year. Families, grandparents, college students, teachers, and friends all come together for one last outdoor adventure before the school year begins.
Whether you’re looking for a unique family outing, introducing your child to a new lifelong hobby, or simply enjoying a relaxing day outdoors, EVSC offers an experience that’s hard to find anywhere else in North Georgia.
Why August Is One of the Best Times to Visit
As summer winds down, the pace of life begins to change, but August still offers the perfect opportunity to slow down for one more memorable day together.
Less Screen Time. More Quality Time.
Instead of spending another afternoon indoors scrolling through phones, watching television, or playing video games, sporting clays gives families the chance to reconnect in a completely different way.
Every station becomes an opportunity to:
- encourage one another
- celebrate successes
- laugh about the ones that got away
- enjoy uninterrupted time together
Sometimes the best conversations happen between stations, not in front of a screen.
Make the Most of the Last Days of Summer
Whether your children are heading into elementary school, high school, or college, the days before school starts are often some of the busiest of the year.
A day outdoors gives everyone a chance to recharge before routines return. It’s a memory that often lasts much longer than another trip to the mall or movie theater.
Comfortable North Georgia Mornings
Late summer mornings in North Georgia are ideal for spending time outdoors.
Many guests enjoy arriving early, taking advantage of the cooler temperatures, and finishing their round before the afternoon heat.
An Outdoor Activity Everyone Can Enjoy
One of the things that makes sporting clays unique is that it isn’t just for experienced shooters. It’s an activity families can enjoy together, regardless of experience.
Whether you’re:
- introducing your teenager to a new hobby
- enjoying a father-son or mother-daughter outing
- bringing grandparents along
- catching up with friends before everyone heads back to school
- planning one last family adventure
there’s a place for everyone at EVSC.
